waahuuu! just got me a copy of the latest TRESE digest, "UNREPORTED MURDERS"

while i've already read the online issue's on budjette's website -- i must say that there's no replacing the issues on good, ol' paper.

(mental note: stop self from checking out the online issues)

and i read from the sunday inquirer magazine -- where they featured budjette and kajo (and alexandra of course) -- that the 3rd digest will be out soon.

can't wait!!

RIP Zorayda Sanchez

i felt sad when i learned of the news that zorayda sanchez, comedienne and 80's icon, passed away yesterday.

she succumbed to her battle with breast cancer, an illness she was diagnosed of only last year.

she was 57.

i still remember her portrayal of the ugly, funny but strong woman.

she always cracked me up -- especially in the movie petrang kabayo.

i think it is a testament to her character that she chose to bear her last year in dignity -- away from the spotlight.

rest in peace, zorayda -- you made this world a happier place.

it's three AM as i write this.

just finished helping my spitz, chuckie, deliver her first litter of pups.

she gave birth to two beautiful black female pups -- her offspring from mating with our dachshund, happy.

i was sick with worry over how me and my housemates could manage to get chuckie through her labor pains.

we never had any experience with helping dogs give birth.

thankfully, everything panned out ok -- except for one moment when the first pup's head got stuck as it was coming out of chuckie.

now i'm just curious as to how our two "dachs-spitz" would look like as they grow up. the first pups has long legs (like her mom), and a long body (like her dad).

the second pup looks like a dachshund through and through.

anyway, it's time for me to rest.

yes there will be an eraserheads concert
yes im playing drums
it will be on august 30
i havent met the band
and we havent rehearsed as a group
im thinking that will all happen in august
im sure you have read the blogs and newspapers and whatnot.
a lot of things there are not true.

at the moment
the final venue has not been confirmed.
and the promoters are still dealing with the tickets and crowd control
issues.

the promoters promise to answer these questions soon. maybe this
coming week so standby. there will be no front acts.

it will be a long set.
no theres no talk of an album or tour.

please dont email me privately. ill answer your questions (if theyre not silly) in the cambio, pedicab sandwich mailing lists.

a few thoughts
no i dont miss playing drums. i have a drumkit set up in the house and
i play all the time. i have a lot of drum gear, percussion and drum
machines.

i love playing drums.
i even play percussion in church on sundays when i can.
diego cas and mong have drumkits and we make a lot of noise and jam.
mike d has a vistalite (see thru) vintage kit. really cool and really loud.

we used it in mayrics last week.
i love playing drums for cambio.we played 2 gigs last night.
on occasion im honored to play drums for sugarfree, chicosci,imago,duster and the dawn.

i get asked this a lot.
im sorry i dont mean to offend but i dont miss the eheads or get senti
about it. it was a college band that turned into something we could not control. the music lives.

but thats just me.
im also a big music fan and i know how it means to other people so please dont send me hate mail. haha. im really not a bad person. its just a gig.

yes we all agreed to play 1 gig but were minimizing the drama.
i will give it 110 percent. thats the sandwich way.
if i give any less diego will kick my butt on stage.

possible snag for the eheads reunion concert??

how in hell is a certain tobacco company going to pull off this supposed reunion concert of the eraserheads when the law clearly states that they can't sponsor any concerts???

RA 9211 or the Tobacco Regulation Act of 2003 states:

Section 26. Ban on Sponsorships. - Beginning 1 July 2008, cigarette and tobacco companies are hereby prohibited from sponsoring any sport, concert, cultural art or event, as well as individual and team athletes, artists, or performers where such sponsorship shall require or involve the advertisement or promotion of any cigarette or tobacco company, tobacco product or tobacco use, name, logo or trademarks and other words, symbols, designs, colors or other depictions commonly associated with or likely to identify a tobacco product; Provided further, That no manufacturer may register a tobacco brand name as a company name after the passage of this Act.1�wph�|.�

eheads reunion concert?

pinoy netizens are buzzing about the reports that the eraserheads -- ely, raymund, marcus and buddy -- will be having a reunion concert this august 30th.

pj first told me about it. then i read it on brian's blog...

even ricky lo has written about it in his column.

how true?

a little birdie told me (actually it was pj) that major tobacco company is sponsoring the event.

each ehead to get P10M for the reunion concert daw.

and the concert is supposed to be LIBRE.

how true? is a cool P10M enough to patch things up among the four -- especially between ely and raymund? 

i wonder what jessica zafra has to say about this...

or how about diane ventura (ely's partner)?
